Where to fill up
Look for fresh water / drikkevann taps at campsites, motorhome service stations (bobilservice / tømmestasjon), many petrol stations and harbours. Apps like Park4Night and CamperContact map them.
Only fill from a tap marked as drinking water. Use the camper's own fresh-water hose — never the same hose you use for grey/black water rinsing.
Filling
Step by step
- Park so the fresh-water filler cap is on the tap side, with the hose able to reach.
- Open the fresh-water filler cap on the side of the camper. It is marked with a water symbol or "Water" and usually opens with the camper key or a quarter-turn.
- Connect the supplied hose to the tap. If there is no threaded fitting, hold the hose firmly in the filler neck.
- Turn the tap on gently and let the tank fill. You will hear the pitch change as it gets full.
- Watch the tank gauge on the control panel inside. Stop when it shows full — or when water rises to the top of the filler neck.
- Turn off the tap, remove the hose, and close and lock the filler cap.
- Turn on the water pump switch inside and run a tap for a few seconds to confirm flow.
Driving with a full fresh-water tank adds weight and uses fuel. For longer drives, many travellers carry the tank only part-full and top up near where they will stay.
Winter
Cold-weather tip
In freezing temperatures, keep the water system heated (cabin heating on) or drained when not in use, so pipes and the pump do not freeze. Ask us at handover how the heating keeps the water system frost-free.
