On the Road

We pick you up at the airport and take you to our camper park for check-in. When returning, the check-out is about 3.5 hours before your flight, and we take you back to the airport so you are in good time for your flight.

We will try to adapt the time for transport as much as possible to your schedule.

Check-in and check-out is done by photographing the camper and checking fuel, water, toilet, grey water and LPG gas before and after. We show you how things function, and this is the best time to ask about anything you need. Feel free to also take your own photographs at these stages.

Take extra care in car parks, at fuel stations, and on narrow Norwegian roads. Many scenic viewpoints have tight turning areas.

• Speed limit default: 80 km/h outside towns, 50 km/h in towns unless signed otherwise.
• Headlights must be on at all times, day and night — it is Norwegian law.
• Toll roads: the van is registered for AutoPASS — tolls and ferries will be charged at checkout.

The van runs on diesel. The tank holds approximately 60 litres. The diesel code at the pump is B7. In rural Northern Norway, fuel stations can be far apart — always refuel when the gauge drops below a quarter.

• Shore power (230V): connect with the blue CEE cable in the rear storage. Maximum [AMPS] A.
• Leisure battery: powers 12V lighting, USB sockets and fridge when not on shore power. Do not run it flat.
• Gas (LPG): used for the hot water, fridge, hob and heating. Calculate up to one hour for hot water after a gas change. Cost of LPG is calculated at checkout.

• Fresh water tank: fill at campsite service points or with the supplied hose from a tap. Tap water in Norway is safe to drink everywhere.
• Grey water tank: empty only at designated grey water disposal points — never in nature or storm drains.
• Cassette toilet: use only the blue chemical provided. Empty at campsite chemical disposal points. Never empty in the wild.
• Do not put anything other than the approved chemical and tissue in the cassette — no wipes, no food waste.

Norway's allemannsretten (right to roam) allows free camping in nature for up to 2 nights in most places, as long as you are at least 150 metres from the nearest dwelling. This includes parking a motorhome in nature.

• Always park on stable, level ground — use the levelling wedges in the storage box.
• Ventilate properly — the roof vent should be open a crack whenever people are inside.
• Do not run the engine for long periods while parked to charge batteries — use a campsite hook-up or let the solar panel do its job.

• For roadside assistance: send your position on Google Maps if possible, and call us at +47 958 65 859. We will get the necessary assistance to you.
• In an accident: photograph everything before moving the vehicles. Get the other party's details. Call police if anyone is injured.
• Warning triangle and high-vis vests are in the cab — use them if you stop on or near a road.

Please return the van clean, with a full fuel tank and empty waste tanks. A cleaning and/or fuel charge will apply if these conditions are not met.

• Empty and rinse the cassette toilet at a service point before return.
• Remove all personal items and food. Dispose of rubbish before return.
• Fill up the diesel tank to 100%, empty grey water, and fill fresh water.
• Clean the camper's surfaces and floors.
• Allow 30 minutes for the drop-off inspection — do not book flights too close to the return time.
